I interviewed with Airbnb for a SWE intern position in October 2018. I submitted my resume at an on-campus recruiting event and heard back in roughly one week. I was then given an online challenge, a ~45-minute HackerRank assessment.
The HR reached out after I submitted the online challenge and asked me to schedule two 45-minute technical phone interviews with engineers. The questions were LeetCode medium/hard level.
What came next was a culture fit round. They asked standard behavioral questions, as well as questions related to Airbnb and traveling.
If you passed all the rounds, you received a phone call from HR discussing the offer.
Airbnb moves fast with its interview process, and overall, it was a very positive experience!
