Pros: It is a very good place to start your career, as it will give you opportunities to get familiarized with various cloud services, scalability, and distributed systems.

Cons: Operational pain is one of the worst things at Amazon. Also, to get promoted is like waiting forever. To get a good project, you would either have to get a good team that is working on some new stuff, or you would be waiting forever.
