Great place to intern!
Solutions Architect Intern • Current Employee
Arlington, Virginia, United States

Pros: - Very flexible work options (can be pure virtual)
- Nice people. I reached out to many Amazonians and almost always received a warm reply.
- Lots of workshops and opportunities with professional development.
Cons: Once you work here, you start to see the cracks of bureaucracy and unwarranted redundancy. It's kinda lonely in the new/remote offices. Teams are hit or miss. My team was awesome, while I've heard some bad things about other teams.

Wonderful place to intern at

Pros: Everyone replies very quickly to messages/emails. I was very included in team meetings, and interns were given meaningful projects to work on. Interns get access to all of the training resources of full-time Amazonians, so I was able to learn about many fields outside of the one I worked in.
Cons: There are so many teams at Amazon that the environment definitely varies from team to team.
