A company that lives by what they say.
Throughout the interview process, you are told to understand the 14 leadership principles, and that you will be measured by them. Well, that's because as an Amazonian, we apply them to everything we do.
Great team, great customers, great environment.
Everyone is friendly and helpful, especially for new starters on their Embark (onboarding program).
There are no really glaringly obvious cons.
Other than to say, meter yourself, lest you burn yourself out.
The torrent of information, seminars, events, emails, and shiny new toys/services, on top of your customers' objectives on a daily basis, means that you need to be self-organized and prioritize your activity to stay on track (hint: think of what your customer needs first and work backwards).
Keep doing what you're doing. This region (APAC) is growing like wildfire, and while we sometimes make choices that aren't perfect, it's great that you acknowledge and change track when more/better info comes to light.
The interview process was quite long. It was virtual due to COVID: * Phone Interview (covered fundamental technical and behavioral questions) * Architecture Whiteboarding with SAs, followed by a written technical document about a previous worklo
Received an invitation to complete an online assessment. It involved 2 behavioural sections about work life and personal behaviour, and then a coding section involving 2 questions. The questions could be done in the language of your choice.
I do not recall, as it has been quite some time. However, I recall the first round focused on Amazon's Leadership Principles. The entire interview process had four to five rounds scheduled.
