Process

I was referred for this position and contacted by HR via email within two weeks. The HR person phone interviewed me the very next day. He explained the position and asked me to describe my overall past experience. That same week, he set up a phone interview with the hiring manager for the following week.

The hiring manager talked about his department and the position, and asked me very basic questions. They seemed confident in my background. I asked him quite a few questions as well.

I felt a little discouraged when he mentioned they would be hiring slowly for this position and were still interviewing people. At this time, the job had been posted for over two months.

I did get an on-site interview after about 1.5 weeks. I interviewed with 7-8 people (manager and co-workers), and the hiring manager took me out for lunch.

I received an offer over the phone after about 1.5 months. You just have to be patient.

An official offer was received by mail after about a week, and they conducted your background check in parallel. I will be starting next week!
