I was asked to screen share for two coding rounds. I managed to solve both of them, explaining why I chose specific data structures and providing sufficient explanations during the design and coding phases.

I followed a TDD approach and covered numerous scenarios to test the program.

I was a bit nervous in the first round, which led to a small mistake. I forgot to revisit and refactor that particular section.

Other than that, I managed to solve challenges the interviewer presented, even when they changed the problem statement. They kept increasing the difficulty level to observe my design and coding approach, and I performed well in that regard.

Feedback I received:

• My coding was perceived as entry-level, not close to mid-level. I disagree with this assessment, as I wrote clean code, followed TDD, provided ample explanations for each step, function, and loop, included comments, and adhered to best practices for naming functions and variables.

Good:

• The interviewers made me feel comfortable and offered hints when I got stuck.

Bad:

• The recruiter didn't even turn on their camera when giving feedback, which was an unpleasant experience.
• I wasn't convinced by the feedback. I feel they have enough applications and are filtering candidates extensively. They should not waste candidates' time if they have a large pool of applicants.
• The entire process felt like a waste of time. I believe they have enough applications and don't value candidates' time.
• I felt they didn't assess me properly and made a decision based on one small mistake.
