First was an initial call, easy to get through, just asked about experience. The second interview was over Zoom and a Coderpad challenge. There may or may not be someone to shadow the interviewer. My interviewer was very nice and informative about the company and the position they are looking to fill. They also did a great job of leading me to possible solutions when I would get stuck. They are looking for you to ask good questions and to be collaborative.

The technical question was a DNA gene joining example. Given a list of (gene names, start index, end index), find instances of genes that have continuing indexes to combine into the longest chain possible for each gene.
