Recruiters from Square contacted me more than once. I reached out when I started looking for jobs.

They set up a time to talk to the recruiters and explain the position. If you are in San Francisco, you have one telephone/CoderPad round. If you are out of San Francisco, you have two telephone/CoderPad rounds before they fly you in.

The recruiter told me that the telephone screen is a pair programming interview, which was a complete farce. The interviewer just copy-pasted 100 lines for a question and then kept working on his computer. His computer would beep all the time, and he didn't say a word. I tried to engage him by explaining my thought process, but he couldn't care less. He gave me a hard LeetCode question, and I couldn't solve it in 45 minutes. He asked me to perform a line justification on a given paragraph. I don't know how line justification relates to their business model, but again, the interviewer couldn't care less. When the recruiter sent the email, they asked me to run my code frequently, but every time I did, my interviewer was judging me hard.

I wouldn't advise anyone to spend hours preparing for pair programming or giving rounds after rounds at this company. If you can clear an interview here, you will be able to clear at other places, and there are much better companies out there.
