Applied online for an internship in London. I received an email a week later to schedule a phone interview for the following week.
The interview was conducted on HackerRank using CodePair (live-coding). The interviewer was extremely nice and supportive. Honestly, it was great fun.
Questions focused on C++. You should be very familiar with C++ and know its nitty-gritty ins-and-outs, of which there are many. Equally important are fundamental algorithmic skills and data structures, as well as analytical thinking (know your Big-O!).
The process is quick and professional.
Questions about C++ inheritance.
I was given some code with a base and derived class that had some mistakes I had to find, such as a non-declared and thus non-virtual destructor.
My second question was the two-sum problem. I had seen it before.
