Management is definitely a con.
Depending on the job, there's no growth.
Deluded.
Being friends with your employees is great, but perhaps the company might benefit from keeping knowledgeable, skilled employees. Keeping those with archaic ideas might come back to haunt you.
Management is a joke. They call for culture change. How can culture change when those in managerial positions are the very ones propagating a culture of backstabbing, lying, pushing ideas from the 50s, and throwing your underlings under a bus?
They only want 'yes-men.' Nothing else.
