Interesting Work, Bad Management
Boeing does some really interesting stuff. There are some terrific people there, and the benefits are good.
Boeing management is frequently non-technical and manages to a spreadsheet without having a clue as to what it is they're supposed to be managing. There seems to be a lot of hostility between management and non-management.
Boeing's culture is mired in process, and related groups do not work well together.
- Retire.
- Listen to employees or quit wasting your time on surveys.
- Hire more managers that have a clue.
- Realize that employees are not interchangeable pieces.
