Pros

Many talented and dedicated engineers.

Many opportunities to learn and grow in your profession.

A diverse set of projects.

Low to moderate stress level.

You can steer your own career if you take the initiative to do so.

Cons

Management seems more concerned with cost cutting than maintaining quality and investing in engineering resources. Management decisions are driven more by costs than by whether something is a good design or not. Management seems to value the end product developed by engineers over the engineers themselves. They are quick to discard talented people.

Advice to Management

Invest much more in the workforce that supports the company. Learn from past mistakes and make positive changes. Don't focus so much on cost-cutting as the best means to increase profitability. Business investments should do more to increase value and profitability over the long term.
