Senior ETL Developer Interview Experience - Tokyo, Japan

Process

There was a severe lack of coordination between the HR department and the interviewer, resulting in a confusing situation where I was approached for one role but interviewed for a different one. The interviewer, who was a senior manager, appeared unprepared and asked theoretical questions unrelated to my mid-career experience.

Despite my willingness to answer these questions, it was apparent that he had not reviewed my resume before the meeting. Additionally, the interviewer lacked basic manners and failed to even turn his video on during the interview. Furthermore, he was late to the meeting, and the interview abruptly ended when he finally realized the mistake in the mismatch of the JD that was shared.

This poor experience left me with a negative impression of the company's brand image. I would never ever involve myself with this company again.
