Pros

A good place to start or progress your career, as there are some interesting projects and very talented people there.

Lots of staff are friendly and will give time and advice if you ask.

The training facility near Paris is world-class, in my opinion. I always came back full of energy and optimism.

Cons

A lot of senior management lack the talent of the people who deliver and will not question or rock the boat, as they seem intent on reaching VP at all costs.

When I started, there were a lot of experienced, talented people, most of whom left for companies that invest in their consultants rather than treat them as assets.

Many projects end up in difficulties as people box-tick and don't question what senior management say.

Advice to Management

Purely looking at utilization and numbers makes staff feel like assets, not valued people.

Saying that the market is difficult so there are no pay raises, then raising sales targets to ensure bonuses won't be paid, sends a clear message to intelligent staff, which a lot of your people were.

Empower those that can deliver to deliver and reward them. There are lots of other places that will, as I found out when leaving.
