Senior Applications Developer Interview Experience - Richmond, Virginia

Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

Applied online via Capital Careers site.

A recruiter called with basic informational questions.

First, I had to take an online technical test, which had 4 objective questions and 3 use cases to code the pending logic.

Then, I had a round of technical phone interviews.

Once cleared, there was an in-person interview at the Capital One office.

The in-person interview had 4 rounds:

  • 2 Behavioral rounds, where a situation was given and I was asked how I would respond.
  • 2 job-fit technical rounds, where a task was given to architect a system based on a use case, and then general questions based on technologies I've worked on in the past.

After that, HR contacted me regarding the offer.

Questions

A use case was provided, and the system had to be architected around it.
