I had one telephonic round. After clearing the telephonic round, they asked me to come for an onsite interview at VA. They scheduled four different interview rounds on a single day, each lasting 30 minutes.
In the telephonic rounds, they focused on design patterns, Hibernate vs. Ibatis, Spring JDBC Template, RESTeasy, REST vs. SOAP, and AngularJS. I did pretty well in the telephonic rounds because all the questions were technical in aspect.
In the onsite interview, I had one 30-minute session with one of the Directors. He focused more on my role in the current project and what I was doing differently.
There were two job fit interviews:
The interviewer was himself unclear about what he was asking and was not going into any technical discussion. I think he just made up his mind before entering the room.
Behavioral questions rounds should also be taken seriously, where the interviewer writes down everything you say. The guide provided by Capital One is enough for preparing for the behavioral interview.
