Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience

Process

I applied online and received an online assessment (OA) within a few days.

After the OA, a recruiter reached out a few weeks later to schedule a "power day" interview, which was set for about two to three weeks out.

The power day interview consisted of three one-hour sections, with a one-hour break in between. My order was:

  • Technical interview
  • Break
  • Behavioral interview
  • Case interview

About two to three days after the power day interview, I had a post-interview chat with my recruiter and was then extended an offer!

Questions

Technical:

  • OOP (build a banking system)
  • DSA question about linked lists (variation on LeetCode medium)

Behavioral:

  • 3 general questions with follow-ups

Case:

  • 1st part talking about a chatbot: what would be good (and bad), and how it affects the company and the customers.
  • 2nd part involved being shown code, walking through it, predicting input/output, and making suggestions for improvement.
