The tech stack is great for a credit card company. Benefits are very good. There is a good work/life balance. Total compensation is really good, depending on the level, and includes a generous bonus and LTI.
Outdated performance management processes create a horribly toxic culture. People in people manager roles without training or experience add to the toxic culture. Performance management is a stacked ranking/forced distribution system where a certain percentage are rated "below" which can impact your compensation up to no bonus at all. Furthermore, the process is full of bias and is a popularity contest. Really, really think twice before applying for roles at this company.
The All Associate Survey every year recommends management get rid of the stacked ranking system. That clearly has never happened.
Please review the feedback from your associates and make some changes.
Oh, and STOP calling yourself a Tech Company. You aren't.
Phone screen, followed by a very outdated and poorly constructed online math test. A couple of rounds of phone interviews were followed by a power day that included hands-on problem-solving.
I hope the diversity and inclusion leader sees this because I was told I couldn’t have interviewed any better and wasn’t selected simply because I was an external candidate not already embedded in culture, while an internal candidate was in the mix.
Normal powerday interview. It was pretty easy. Normal OOP technical with a banking question. The case interview was a little harder. Behavioral was normal. Focus on OOP concepts. All interviewers were really nice and helpful.
