Pros

I'll caveat that this depends on where you work, org-wise. There's a lot of well-thought-out engineering going on that you'd see at more purpose-built tech companies. It feels great to work at a place that has people doing their best work, with folks at the top aware of it and doing their best to tap into that.

Cons

One pipeline (home grown Jenkins) is AWFUL and crashes or bugs out or has poor support, and often blocks teams.

Depending on which LOB you join, the competition can be RUTHLESS, especially in the Card Tech and Decisioning space. The work is interesting, draws in the sharpest people, and the relative bar just keeps getting higher and higher.
