Pros

Good benefits. They really did hire some of the best people and have a mission I'd still like to help with, even though I'm no longer with Checkr.

They make cutthroat decisions, which will keep them making money for years to come.

Generous severance when making the decision to reduce the size of the company.

Cons

Lost startup vibe

A cutthroat decision to reduce the workforce by 280+ individuals, roughly 30% of the company.

Jobs were being outsourced for cheaper labor at the expense of quality. Pretty sure we helped train our replacements.

When asked about the potential for layoffs by concerned employees prior to the RIF, they were not forthcoming.
