Big focus on culture and DEI initiatives.
Operating Principles are the core of the company. It was a fun journey going from a startup to a publicly traded company.
In the early days, we had:
Tons of room for advancement!
The usual office politics and the "good ol boys" clubs, as with any company. Once you're internal and receive promotions, you may only get a percentage increase based on your current salary and usually not the market rate, as if you came in externally. At one point, one of my direct reports was making more than me. Other than that, I don't have any other negative things to say. It was a fun ride! We worked hard and played hard.
I think it would be beneficial for all people leaders to go through management training at least once a year, with a focus on:
First, a small multiple-choice test. Then, one hour with a lead architect. Final round: * Four interviews, 60 minutes each. The interview questions were around algorithms, mentorship, and architecture. The interviews had 60-minute gaps in betw
I usually don't take the time to leave reviews about my interviews, but since this one was very "different," I thought it was worth giving some advice to other fellow coders out there. The process started with an email from a recruiter requesting my
Recruiter call, followed up by a technical round with hiring and coding. After that, there is a panel round. It consists of medium to high questions on SQL and Python, and behavioral questions about their operating principles.
