Three rounds:

Round 1 - C Development:

  • Write a function to swap two strings using pointers.
  • How does CRC work?
  • How to identify a packet from one end to the other end - use unique IDs.

Round 2 - Unix/Linux:

  • Check if a system is Unix or Linux - answer: uname.
  • Find files.
  • Command to check processes.
  • Vi questions.

Round 3 - Networking Concepts:

  • IP Packet Structure.
  • Ethernet fundamentals.
  • How does IP Multicast work? Explain PIM & IGMP.
  • IP Address & MAC Address over a router & switched network - what changes?
