Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I applied online after looking at open positions on LinkedIn. Within a few days, I received an email about a technical phone screening.

The phone screening was followed by two separate WebEx technical interviews over the next 3-4 weeks. The final round was with the hiring manager and was a mix of technical and behavioral questions.

Overall, all the interviewers were friendly and professional. At the end of the final interview, the hiring manager appreciated me for some of my qualities that the interviewers had observed. They told me they were interviewing more candidates and would make sure to pass on the final feedback.

However, I never received any final feedback. I tried to reach out to the recruiter a couple of times later, but there was no response, and my profile was removed from their careers portal. This was a real disappointment from a reputed company.

Every company has the right to select the best candidate, but they should also respect other candidates and ensure they provide feedback.
