Process

I did my summer internship at Cisco this year. For the internship, there were two telephonic rounds.

  • The first was a technical round, with all questions focusing on Data Structures and Object-Oriented Programming Principles.
  • The second round was an HR round, where they asked about my interests, family, and so on.

During the internship, I applied for a full-time job. For this, they conducted one written round, which had 50 questions (20 Math/MAT and 30 Technical) and was supposed to be completed in one hour. The technical questions covered Digital Electronics, Computer Architecture, and Microprocessors/Microcontrollers.

After the written round, there were technical, manager, and HR rounds.

  • In the technical round, they asked questions about my projects, Data Structures, and Sockets.
  • The manager round included a few technical questions and brain teasers.
  • The HR round featured questions like, "Why do you want to join Cisco?"

Questions

The technical round was okay. The HR asked some tricky and direct questions, like why I want to work for a company rather than joining my family business.
