Pros: Work-life balance is decent, depending on the team.

Cons: No job security is available. You always have to be worried about layoffs.

Pros: Nice stand-up desk and revamped offices.

Cons: Disorganized and poor leadership. Meetings were conducted to review software and discuss how we could improve the existing product. However, often times, my manager seemed to reject many of the ideas that the team pushed forward, citing it was "too much work" and "not feasible."

Pros: You are working with a valley veteran who has weathered all the lows that have happened here and is still going strong, so they definitely got things right. The campus is huge. It gives a nice feeling walking down the road and seeing the footprint Cisco has here. The compensation is competitive and on the higher side of the average. The company is going through another transformation right now as they are trying to get agile, so it's an interesting and ambiguous phase joining the company at this juncture.

Cons: The team you join and the manager assigned will determine the expectations set. Sometimes, it may get overwhelming for a fresher. There are not clear structures that help you ease into the job role: no formal trainings, no orientation.
