Process

The initial phone interview lasted for an hour.

This interview was conducted via Webex. Questions involved basic networking and programming concepts, such as converting hton to ntoh.

I was then called onsite for five rounds of interviews.

  • The first round focused on simple C programming, with questions asking to find mistakes in provided code.
  • The second and third rounds delved into data structures like trees and graphs, as well as core operating systems and networking concepts.
  • The fourth round was entirely focused on networking. I was asked to write a socket program and then to implement a load balancer using pthreads. While I didn't remember the exact APIs, I was able to provide pseudocode.

Questions

Design and implement a load balancer in C.
