Reasonably diverse (at least as compared to other SV companies), but still a long way to go, particularly with respect to women in senior management, Hispanics, and African Americans.
Offshoring and shrinking like crazy at every opportunity. Terrible hiring practices ensure a mediocre talent pool – stunningly poor in some cases.
Substitutes "going through the motions" for "getting results" as primary goals. Lots of meetings, emails, PowerPoints, and committees.
Hero worship at all levels of the organization ensures groupthink prevails, which could be a positive if they had any heroes worth listening to, which they don't.
Replace the board. Stop holding your breath and hoping the competition will go away. Find some real growth and embrace it rather than digging your heels in like the competitors you once vanquished.
