Good job, predictable, well-defined routine. Decent compensation and everything that comes with a large, stable company.
Hard to survive without the Cisco ecosystem. It offers a very narrow view of technology, with lots of PowerPoint presentations and very little real work. It's not a good place to build something internally.
Seek feedback from employees and act on it. You can't keep acquiring innovation and hope to have a lasting competitive advantage.
At this age, Cisco neither has the technical prowess of Google nor the coolness of Apple. They are a very good sales and marketing company and run very well.
