Go there if you want to retire after 50.

If you think Cisco is a company that works in a niche of technology, you are wrong. This is especially true if you are hired in India.

Cisco India is an outsource-based operation of Cisco USA. All new developments and research are done in the US. Once everything is complete, it's transferred to India for maintenance, whether it's the Data Centre Product Nexus, Firewall, or UCS.

Secondly, there are too many processes that will hinder your productivity. There is no information sharing from seniors. The proprietary OS wrapper means you aren't marketable outside Cisco, and there are no pay hikes for at least 4-5 years. Normal promotion takes 5 years.

Pay at least yearly hikes. Get good work from us. Just don't get scraped or work on already done projects.
