Cisco is a nice place to work for the most part. It really depends on the group that you are in.
Some BU's people work like crazy and products have huge revenue. You want to be in one of these BU's. If the BU you are working in has little or low growth, forget about any career advancements or innovations.
Compensation is fairly OK.
If you are in a stable BU, not much happens, and if you are not careful, you will end up doing the same tasks every day.
After 5 years working for Cisco, everyone outside of this company will be reluctant to hire you.
Compensation is almost directly related to how many years you have been with Cisco.
Do not keep engineers doing the same jobs without innovating all the time. Cisco engineers, after 10 years working there, are really out of touch with the market.
I just did the OA and passed all the questions. After a few days, they sent me an email telling me they would not move forward. I think they review the resume after we finish the OA. By the way, I do not like their coding panel.
