Pros

Work-life balance.

If you want to do CCIE, you get three attempts free here.

If you are a frequent traveler, you can do WFH when you are at home.

Cons

Promotions are not based on performance; they are given to people who know how to talk unnecessarily in meetings.

My performance rate is E+ (which means I'm in the top 25%). There has been no hike for the last three years, in spite of the fact that the company is doing well in the market. A lot of employees are angry about this issue.

Advice to Management

Please decide promotions based on performance, not on lip service. Please don't play politics, especially in R&D.

All managers should have some technical knowledge; only then can they understand the complex things their engineers are doing.
