Be fair and open to employees. Don't be afraid of hurting somebody else's feelings by giving promotions or increases to those who have really worked and done well. Please, please try to understand the difference between those who only talk and kiss up, and those who honestly and silently do their jobs without stopping by the manager's office 10 times a day.
