Salary and bonus are excellent, but promotions are tough to get
The combined salary and bonus make for a pretty good compensation package. Base salaries are a bit low, but when you add in the annual bonus, it brings the compensation level up to par. It's a pretty family-friendly environment. Working from home is allowed.
Promotions are difficult to get and depend largely on how popular you are with management.
Cisco is really 20 companies under one umbrella. Each business unit has its own culture, so make sure you understand the culture, attitude, and behavior of whatever group you choose to join.
Someone's opinion from business unit X has absolutely no bearing if you are joining business unit Y.
