When engineering was more diverse, before round after round after round of 're-structuring,' work/life balance used to be decent.
In Engineering, if you are not part of the 'in crowd' (aka Indian), you will quickly notice the politics around you. There are issues with upward mobility and the projects you are given. If you refuse to work nights and weekends, you are seen as "not doing enough".
Also, by working with others, you can tell that many people got their jobs simply from being connected to another Indian.
Take a look at the hiring practices of H1B's. Stop hiring from overseas for lower wages to displace American workers. Why is the majority of the engineering org not diverse?
Stop the nepotism, but maybe it's too late. From the lower tiers all the way up, zero diversity.
An OA (Online Assessment) is auto-generated just after application. Then, based on performance on the OA, you get a reach-out. These are followed by rounds such as technical, behavioral, and screening rounds. The screening is followed by technical ro
All technical questions: Domain knowledge: * Computer networks (How to get an IP address? What is PCIe? What is Ping?) C programming language: * Linked lists (Add node to the tail) * Bit manipulation (Function for set bit)
I completed two phone interviews. They asked basic questions, and nothing was too difficult. The interview mostly focused on past experience. It seemed a little impersonal, almost as if they were reading from a script.
