Software Engineer Interview Experience

Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

  • A 45-minute phone interview, including one technical question (LeetCode medium), followed by standard questions and answers in the remaining 10 minutes. Expect to compile/debug your solution.
  • A 5-round onsite interview. Questions varied from analytical, pure matching, or algorithm questions to more data structure/implementation-heavy questions. Each round followed a similar structure to the phone screen, with slightly harder questions. The final interview was with a manager or team lead.

Everyone I met seemed driven, smart, and invested in their work. The interview process was smooth. Travel arrangements and accommodations were excellent.

Questions

  • Implement some basic concurrent data structures in C++.

  • Design questions and some analysis for building a high-throughput data pipeline.

  • C++-specific mock code review, with specific questions about the language paradigms (CRTP, STL structures, etc.).
