I applied a couple of times before and always received an automatic rejection. But then one day, Clio's talent sourcer found me and proposed an interview. I spoke with their recruiter, and everything was going well: a nice description of the company and the vacancy that aligned well with my experience.
However, one question ruined everything we had discussed. The recruiter asked about the scale of the project I worked on and how many users it served. Without thinking too long, I answered 'thousands' of users, as I had worked on a wide range of projects of varying sizes, including some very big for well-known travel agency and automotive providers.
The recruiter seemed to expect that the project had hundreds of thousands of users, and after that, she quickly ended the interview without giving me a chance to explain further. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with the interview. It felt unfair and unprofessional to end the conversation just because I didn’t use the one word they were expecting in my answer.
What is the scale of the projects you have worked on?
