Pros: Databricks cares about you. You will receive help to become the best in the industry.

Cons: Nothing comes through my mind.

Pros: Management is very transparent. Intelligent coworkers. Very cooperative atmosphere. Work-life balance is respected. Company is doing well.

Cons: The bar is high. The company is growing fast. I'm fine with this, but you'll need to be comfortable with change. If you blindly take on any challenge and accept every meeting invite, your WLB will suffer.

Pros: Non-hyperbolically, the best engineering in the industry, and getting better with new hires. Very supportive and teamwork-oriented environment. A great place to jumpstart a career. Compact engineering core keeps the work environment tight-knit. It still has some small-company vibes (bi-weekly boba, random "snack attacks"). Work is engaging and feels impactful, with lots of room to leave your mark. Higher-ups are very receptive to feedback and very transparent on "state of the union"-esque topics.

Cons: The office is terrible, although not an issue for COVID/remote work. HR seems to follow industry trends instead of leading. As a result, some efforts seem flat/bare-minimum (e.g., D&I, COVID response). The company looks to solve D&I in some divisions (engineering), but it does not seem like much headway has been made.
