I applied online. The process took 4 weeks.
I interviewed with DeepL for the position of Frontend developer. The entire process took around a month and a half, due to the Christmas break.
I had a call with a recruiter first, in which the entire interview process was thoroughly explained. This was followed by a one-hour call with a team lead, and a few technical questions about frontend fundamentals.
A three-hour discussion was scheduled next, split into:
After this was the final call where they made me an offer. Communication was crystal clear throughout the process, and all expectations were conveyed beforehand.
The impression I got was that you don't need to have all the answers, or be perfect in your answers, but rather if you have core knowledge and are willing to learn and grow. The interviewers were very warm and helpful, and encouraged critical thinking, and the willingness to learn and growth - something I would expect from my ideal work environment.
Overall, the experience was excellent, and I would recommend DeepL to anyone seeking a challenging, supportive and rewarding work environment.
Technical questions about JavaScript fundamentals, a code review, system design, and an algorithm question.
