I got placed at DELL through a hackathon-based process. The process involved a hackathon (8 hours), a presentation (10 minutes), and an HR interview.

We were asked to form groups of 4 students, and the hackathon topic was given a week prior to the process. It was a 2-day event.

The first round was the hackathon, lasting 8 hours, during which we built the product. A panel of experts from Dell was present, and they were very helpful, keeping us motivated throughout the process.

On the second day, each group had 10 minutes for their presentation and demo. The panelists seemed more interested in the demo portion than the presentation.

Approximately 40% of participants were shortlisted for the HR round, and around 20% of the total participants were selected for the job.
