I didn't start coding right away. I asked questions and clarified my doubts. I provided a step-by-step approach to solve the problem and showed that it works.
When we agreed that my approach was correct, then I started to code.
The interviewer seemed least interested from the start. I was engaging them. They didn't even give me time to ask questions about the company and team. It felt like a waste of time.
