Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

A recruiter contacted me after I applied online. We scheduled a phone interview.

On the day of the phone interview, the interviewer did not call at all. After waiting for 20 minutes, I emailed the recruiter, and the interview was rescheduled to a later time.

A few days after the actual phone screen (the one where the interviewer called in), I received an email response from the recruiter stating they were not moving forward with the process.

Questions

For the phone interview, a dynamic programming problem was asked. A bottom-up approach is good enough to solve the problem, and I implemented the solution. However, I took time to understand the question and deduce the subproblem. There were some follow-up questions on the scalability of the implementation.
