Process

I applied online through my university's Handshake portal.

A couple days later, I was contacted with a HackerRank challenge. The challenge was appropriately difficult and timed for 75 minutes.

After completing that, I was scheduled for a technical phone interview with a software engineer at Dropbox. The interview was purely technical and conducted over the phone using CoderPad.

The question was not difficult, but the interviewer gave confusing advice and was not very helpful.

I was notified a couple days later that I would not be moving forward.

Questions

HackerRank question involving graphs/DFS.

Technical Interview: checking to see if a string was part of the contents of a file. Pushed further on making things more efficient, and the I/O aspect of things made this question more difficult.
