The crunch was pretty brutal, but not as bad as in the Madden 2006 / Superman days. Not a great place creativity-wise; too many meetings, too much of an emphasis on sequels. The promotion and review system was kind to me, but it is utterly ridiculous, and the ACTION values system needs to go.
Don't tell programmers what they want or need. Listen to what they need to get their job done, and then get out there and fight for them.
