There aren't many reasons to work at Electronic Arts because they use employees and don't give them the respect they deserve.
Electronic Arts does not reward employees for working overtime. In fact, they squeeze every bit of energy from employees to produce horribly designed games, which are now being sold for way more than they are worth.
They have been described above. Please keep these points in mind when applying for the biggest game publisher on Earth. It's not all that it's cracked up to be.
Please start planning better and don't just wing it. If you want to make it as a professional development director or producer, you need to work harder than people under you.
Also, please stop destroying great franchises by milking them for what they're worth.
