After I applied online, I got an email back the next day asking me to take a quick personality and skills test. After I took the test, I was asked to set up a quick phone screen interview. It was pretty casual and not much to worry about. It was a great opportunity to learn more about Epic and the position you were applying for, as well as other opportunities that they have. A day or two after that, I was approved to take Epic's test. It is a proctored exam with two parts, and it took me about 3 hours to complete. There really isn't any way to study for it. For somebody who majored in computer science, the test should be easy. You can take it without having any coding experience, but parts of it could be a struggle, as it was for me. That test was the only reason I rated this as a difficult interview. A few days after I took the test, they emailed me back saying they wanted to interview me onsite for the Technical Problem Solver Position. This part is great, and I really fell in love with Epic during the interview. The day of the interview, they told us all about Epic and gave us a tour. I also had to take another test onsite and go over a case study. After I interviewed there, they called me back in two weeks and offered me a job. Epic has a great interview process. I always heard back from them within the time frames they gave me, and they really take good care of their candidates. I also really liked the process because they didn't use the STAR interview process. They focused mainly on testing you to get an idea of your skills and problem-solving abilities.
