Process
First applied online, followed by a phone interview which lasted about 30 minutes. The phone interview basically walked through my resume and some of my projects.
I was then scheduled to take a test at a testing center. The test was made up of logic questions, a new programming language, and 4 programming questions.
I am confident I performed very well in the online test, but after a week and a half, I received an email telling me they have decided to continue with other candidates.

A great company to work for, but it should review its ramping process for new employees

Pros: The company is really awesome. So are most of the employees working at Epic.
I loved the certification process that was used to ramp you up on an application.
And the CEO, Judy, seems very well-intentioned and has a sense of humor very familiar to Math and CS people. In my opinion, she is the perfect example of "lead by example".
The city of Madison and the Epic campus are amazing places too. You'll feel in love with them.
Cons: I felt that the certification process and the self-study were not sufficient for a good ramping into an efficient employee.
More guidance at the beginning could go a long way.

Pros: Very good benefits, positive, generally friendly and helpful co-workers. Really good cafeteria food.
People are quite happy to talk about their areas of ownership.
Cons: Aging codebase with insufficient time/effort given to updates and breathing room to work on it. They will work you until burnout.
Getting a bad or inexperienced manager (common) leads to schizophrenic instructions on what, when, and how, and affects the perceived quality of your work. Cross-team miscommunications are common due to the size of the company and the interconnectedness of the product.
