First round is split in two parts.
The exam consists of three sections:
Note that there are no test cases and you can't use other IDEs, so you need to manually test your own code.
(Usually, the phone screen comes before the exam, but now it's simultaneous to shorten the process, perhaps due to Covid.)
Then, it's the final round interview.
It starts with a 75min detailed introduction to Epic's software products. This part is chill and designed for interviewees to learn about the company.
Then there is a 30min 1-on-1 with a software developer. This is specifically for you to ask questions, so prepare LOTS of good questions to ask. I ran out of questions to ask, and it got a bit awkward.
Next is a 45min product design interview. This is the most important part of the interview day.
Then the last interview is a behavior interview with the recruiter.
To summarize, the interview day is overall relaxed, all the interviewers are really nice, and the only small issue is that there is no break between interviews.
I received an offer only 5 days after the final interview. The entire process took just over a month.
