Low-grade HR recruiters who have no clue what they are hiring for or what DevOps is. HR tags themselves as "where you work matters," however, it should be "where your work matters." HR conducts hiring drives to showcase to the US cloud technology head that Expedia India is conducting its biggest hiring drive, with candidates in a row. HR calls any grade of candidate, with no idea of the candidate's current position or designation. When I asked about the profile, the answer was "leader or higher end." When I reached the Expedia office, it was for a starter role. HR recruiters need to educate themselves first.

HR guys, common, grow up.

I received a ping on LinkedIn. I asked for the profile. I received a profile matching my skillset. Then, a week later, on November 3rd, 2017, in the morning, I was asked to come for an interview because some cloud technology head had come to India. I was doubtful at first, then thought it happens, as I am in a startup where heads/VPs/founders directly interview candidates. So, I said I could only be available for an hour. "OK, HR, got your point. I asked for the designation on the call. I heard it is the same as my current one." I am okay with that too, let's move. I went for the interview as the Expedia office is near my current office. I then received an email afterward stating that it was for a junior profile, lower than what I currently have. LOL, are you guys serious? When I asked HR if I had a direct interview with the head, they said no. Now I was able to conclude that they are only creating a scene there, indicating that the India office of Expedia is always very busy and rushed with interviews in the cloud domain. Lol, that is the real Expedia.

HR guys, common, grow up. If you do not care about your productivity, it does not mean that others are free and you should not waste candidates' time. We have no such time to come and waste at your office like you people do. I am sure you guys do not have work and are only interested in wasting others' time.

Advice to Expedia: Expedia India's HR team is one of the low-grade teams I have ever experienced in my 10+ years of career. Such a waste. Hope you guys will take some action.
