Pros: Senior management is very transparent. The environment has a great mix of work and fun. People work hard not because it is forced, but because of the great culture. There are many opportunities for growth. The technology used and learned is leading-edge, and things are trending away from being stale and boring. Location is excellent. Benefits are excellent. Work flexibility is excellent.

Cons: Some career tracks are very hard to advance. It is often easier to get promoted via role or team switching. As with every company, not every group or every manager is good.

Pros: Good place to work, good culture, nice people.

Cons: Few opportunities for promotion, poor stock/equity compensation, and fairly low compensation.

Pros: Expedia is in a great location in downtown Bellevue, in a nice new tower with excellent views. The commute is easy for many people because it is located a block from the Bellevue Transit Center, which serves Seattle and the Eastside. The commute from my house is exceptionally good. There are two Zip cars at the disposal for personal use. Good travel benefits on Hotels.com through the employee discount. There is an active travel talk alias that is contributed to by many people who are professional travelers as well as seasoned personal travelers.

Cons: There are many layers of overhead to get things done that seem excessive for a smaller company.
