LEAP Program Software Engineer Interview Experience

February 1, 2011
Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The process consists of a phone interview with the recruiter and a 90-minute on-site interview with 3 different people. There were two behavioral interviews and a technical interview. I felt like the technical questions were geared towards the interviewee knowing the advanced syntax of Java, compared to asking more general questions like knowing the concepts of OO programming, data structures, and problem-solving.

Questions

Can you force garbage collection in Java?

What is the difference between an earlier version of the Java SDK versus a later version? (Trick question)
